Dear fellow NAPO members,

I am both thrilled and honored to be serving as your NAPO President. When I joined NAPO in 2002 and attended my first conference in 2006, I had no idea that one day, I would be leading our incredible association. I promise that I will continue to work with you to fulfill NAPO’s mission and drive its strategic direction to make NAPO the best it can possibly be for all of us.

This is our association, and we are not the same NAPO we were 10 years ago, nor are we the same NAPO that we will be in 10 years. We are the reflection of a more diverse, inclusive and expanding profession. We are successful professionals who have talents, skills, education, and certifications that enable us to have a significant impact on those people, businesses, and communities we serve.

There is a wealth of knowledge and support among us; we collaborate, we share ideas, we mentor, we refer, and we educate. Although we all come from different places and backgrounds, we are all here, because we believe in the value of NAPO.

Your NAPO Board will be having its Strategic Planning meeting on June 10 & 11. We will reflect on our accomplishments and successes; then, we will engage in high-level strategic discussions to determine our strategic initiatives going forward. Next month, I will share that strategic direction with you. Until then, be sure to browse the amazing new look and feel of NAPO’s website.

As we move into our future, I hope you will celebrate with me –the value of NAPO, the value of us AND the value we, as NAPO members, bring to others.
